Road safety resource nominated for public sector award

Wrecked, a resource created for the Greater Manchester Joint Road Safety Team, has been short listed in The Big Chip Awards.

Wrecked is an educational road safety resource aimed at provoking road safety based discussion among any age group. It consists of true life stories delivered in a way designed to engage audiences of all backgrounds.

The Big Chip Awards are the top awards for ICT and new media outside London, and this year attracted 257 entries from 138 organisations. Wrecked has been nominated for ‘Best Public Sector Project’.

Wrecked was also a runner up at the recent Education Resource Awards, held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

Alex Platt, from Studio Distract which created Wrecked, said: “With its innovative approach and easy to deliver style, Wrecked has proved successful in reaching traditionally hard to reach audiences.”
