HA biker resource launched at congress

The second edition of the Highways Agency’s ‘Great Roads Great Rides’ interactive resource was launched last week at the RoSPA Road Safety Congress.

Great Roads Great Rides 2, ‘Reading the Road Edition’, puts the viewer on the bike, inside the helmet and close to the road.

Glenn Julian takes the viewer out for a ride ranging from motorways to navigating built up areas, and open countryside. He shows how to look for dangers, spot the warning signs and ‘give your bike the skills it deserves’.

Three supporting posters include a section for overprinting by road safety partnerships to carry local information about training schemes, contact information or DVD pick up points.

Artwork is available for viewing and downloading at: www.highways.gov.uk/grgr2 along with a feedback questionnaire and detailed instructions about how to use the resource.

For further information contact Simon Toon on 0113 2836836.
