Hampshire motorists asked to 'Choose 30' in rural villages

2 readers have commented on this story

Hampshire’s road safety team is running a campaign to persuade people that reducing their speed in a rural village can have a big impact on the local community.

The ‘Choose 30’ publicity campaign compliments Hampshire’s Village 30 project, an ongoing scheme to reduce speed limits in villages where the community requests it, and the location fits set criteria.

The campaign includes radio and bus back advertising, posters, leaflets, bin stickers, news releases and articles, beer mats and village shop bags promoting the message.

Parishes are encouraged to publicise the campaign in their area using a Choose 30 media pack.

Positive support for local democracy - a great idea.

I support this whole heartedly. Such a campaign with so many facets deserves to succeed. I wish them well.

However is there any way one can prove its effectiveness. Would like to have following up on it.
