Motaquote launches young driver policy

Welsh insurance broker Motaquote has launched a new young driver policy aimed at reducing premiums and cutting crashes.

Following a successful pilot in Wales, the new ‘i-kube’ device is being rolled out across the UK by Motaquote in partnership with RSA Insurance Group.

Aimed at drivers aged 17-25 years, the policy gives them up to 40% discount on insurance premiums provided they don’t drive between 23.00 and 05.00 – the time when they are at greatest risk of crashing. Motaquote says this could save an 18-year-old man driving a Vauxhall Corsa more than £2,000.
