Pensioners should retake driving test

Formula One legend Sir Stirling Moss has called for motorists to sit driving tests again after their 70th, 75th and 80th birthdays.
Sir Stirling, who turns 80 this year, wants to see pensioners re-examined to check they are fit to drive on modern roads. The former champion spoke out over fears that drivers on today's roads need faster reactions than in the past.
He said: "It would be a good idea to have a new evaluation when we reach 70, then 75 and 80.
"First of all, a lot of the road signs are changing and the road ethics are changing and the way the roads are formed. There are so many things to keep up with on the roads today."
The DfT said it is planning a consultation on health and the driver licensing system.
