Nominations sought for Prince's awards

Nominations are now being sought for the 2009 Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards, which recognise achievements and innovations at local, national and international level.

Each year the most outstanding examples of road safety initiatives are given public recognition through the scheme, and last year 16 local authority road safety teams received awards.

Nominations are open to any team, organisation or business unit, and the closing date for entries is 15 July. The annual awards ceremony will be held in London on 8 December.
