HA consults on new variable speed limits

Highways Agency plans to improve road safety and help reduce congestion through variable speed limits to sections of the M25 and M20 were published last week.

The proposed schemes – on the M25 between junctions 2 and 3 and the M20 between junctions 4 and 7 - would be similar to the controlled motorway scheme on the M25 between junctions 10 – 16.  The consultation process started on 5 May for about 12 weeks, and members of the public and stakeholder groups are being invited to put their views.
