Residents want clampdown

In a poll asking residents the top three things they want from Essex Police, a crackdown on road traffic offences - particularly the use of mobile phones while driving, speeding and drink driving – came in third position.

The first two wishes were ‘more officers’ and ‘improved customer service’.

The results will go to the police authority with a view to feeding them into the local policing plan.
